Hello there!!! I really love this piece, and it stuck out very well from all of the other deviation thumbnails in the folder :aww: The owl i super super cute, I love the way his eyes are made- reminds me of him needing coffee to satisfy his addiction XD

Colors: Nice and saturated, and you did a good job with making the balloons darker so they look like they are receding.
Outlines: It looks like you went over a lot of it with a black tiny-tipped pen. I do this on my watercolors too! The places where I think it draws my eye away is where the items were light, so the black is like WHABAM CONTRAST. I notice this on the balloons, and you even went over some of the lines perpendicularly. This distracts my eye, and makes the balloon look less shiny or life-like.
Scribbles: (sorry I don't know what else to call them, mostly on the bottom red [mushroom?] area) This I out-rightly don't like at all. It really stands out against the nice and smooth watercolor. It is too stark, and even a little messy, for me it just takes away the roundness of the shapes. And it looks COMPLETELY out of place next to your cute little owl, the way he is carefully detailed and colored. On the largest blue balloon there is some yellow, and this to me looks okay- I think it is more blended. But right next to it there is a lighter blue one with a darker orange on the top... eep! Doesn't do it for me.
details: a lot of it is not intensely detailed, which is fine if thats what you were going for! Not messy. But your tree is BEAUTIFUL!!!! I love it so much. I think if you could make everything look like that tree, highly contrasting but still blended, (and even wavy in the brown and black so it really looks like bark) you could really increase your overall look.

Welp these are all my opinions, I hope it is helpful and I didn't hurt your feelings anywhere. From :iconprojectcomment:
